Be the Light!

Stepping Up

Welcome to Stepping Up To Your Potential – a podcast dedicated to personal growth and development through self-awareness and emotional intelligence! I am SO happy you’re here. See, I believe that humans are loaded with nearly limitless potential — but too often we settle for average. YOU ARE NOT AVERAGE! After all, you’re here and you got here because the idea of actually expressing even a small amount more of the vast potential that is you is one that appeals. So live boldly and step up with me! I’ll admit I haven’t figured everything out quite yet, after all life is a journey rather than a destination, but constantly finding ways to express and expand the potential that I was born with is one of the most profoundly spiritual things I can imagine. Whether your goal is to earn more on the job, create greater success for your business, or embrace all those things you’ve wanted to do but were hesitant to, I welcome you! There are several ways you can keep updated with new insights, challenges and encouragements:

You can fellow and subscribe through any of the social media options listed there, but due to increasingly selective parameters if you join email list that’s the best way to be 100% sure you get notified when a new episode goes live. Also help increase the manifested potential that our fellow humans are capable of by sharing anything you find which in some helped you. This helps me know what you found most useful so that I start giving you more of your looking for! I’d also REALLY appreciate any other love you care to send my way by sharing any posts with your friends.

Book Review: Alexandr Dugin’s Fourth Political Theory

Posted by on Apr 22, 2025 in Book Review | 0 comments

The world is in crisis. Political systems are failing, cultural identities are fracturing, and the ideological structures that once provided meaning no longer hold. Aleksandr Dugin, a Russian philosopher and geopolitical strategist, has emerged as one of the most radical critics of modernity. His book Fourth Political Theory challenges the dominance of liberalism and attempts to carve out a new ideological framework beyond the failures of fascism and communism. There’s much to appreciate in his diagnosis—but I think that his prescription...

Collapsing Paradigm; Rising Consciousness

I remember listening to one of the many candidates as they stumped during the primary season this last year. I listened with a growing sense of dis-ease as they spoke about how obvious were the various solutions for fixing the many ills being discussed. “Just do that … like last time!” I paused and sat with the feeling, asking it what message it had for me that my conscious mind was overlooking. Finally, I understood. Every “solution” had been tried before. And yet, here we were, still debating the same problems. It hit...

The Global Identity Crisis: A Great Unmaking

The Global Identity Crisis: A Great Unmaking

Right now, I see the world as experiencing a massive identity crisis—one that is not just social or political, but spiritual. It mirrors the Dark Night of the Ego on a global scale, where long-held assumptions about who we are—as individuals, cultures, and nations—are being torn apart. The insistence on Identity as absolute and unchanging is not just a symptom of this crisis—it is one of its core barriers to transformation. Many believe they fully “know who they are” from an early age, denying any possibility that growth,...

Unity: Not What We Think

Unity: Not What We Think

We are shifting from a world built on control and submission (power-over) into an era of sovereignty and conscious connection (power-with). With power reclaimed and boundaries set, the final step is learning how to build together.   The False Promises of Unity Unity is one of the most seductive ideals of the Piscean Age. It calls to something deep within us, the longing to dissolve division, to find peace, to merge into something greater than ourselves. Pisces seeks unity through transcendence. It teaches that suffering, conflict, and...

Boundaries are the Rules of Engagement

Boundaries are the Rules of Engagement

In the last episode, I explored my journey through a growing understanding of power. That post actually started as a review of my journey through understanding boundaries, but I realized that without owning my own power, the ability to recognize and enforce my boundaries was pretty much moot. So, the topics were broken into two pieces, though I now think they are integral to each other. Interconnected, such that without owning my power, the ability to maintain a boundary is impossible, and without a boundary, there is no reason that I could...

Redefining Power: From Control to Collaboration

Redefining Power: From Control to Collaboration

We are shifting from a world built on control and submission into an era of sovereignty and conscious connection. But how do we evolve without falling into chaos? Here, I explore the foundation of that evolution — my relationship with power. If I were to ask you what the definition of Power is, what would you say? Is it control? Influence? The ability to shape outcomes? I used to think power was something external — something only certain people had: the loudest voices; the biggest personalities; the ones who made the rules while the rest of...

AI and Ego Constraining Potentials

AI and Ego Constraining Potentials

There’s a buzz around something new and game-changing: AI — artificial intelligence, or as some have called it, algorithmic insight. Over the past few months, I’ve found myself reflecting deeply on why AI has come into the mainstream now, of all times. After decades of gradual development, it has seemingly suddenly exploded into general use and I had to wonder why now? Why at this exact moment in human history? When I ask these kinds of questions, I pause and open my heart and see what emerges. This time, the answer came quickly: AI has...

My Ayahuasca Journey

My Ayahuasca Journey

In February 2024, I finally embarked on an ayahuasca journey. I had spent months researching to find a safe, experienced facilitator and a supportive group environment. My intention was clear: to heal ancestral trauma I might have overlooked. In preparation, I adhered to the traditional diet and practices, ensuring my intentions were clear and focused. To familiarize myself with altered states, I also underwent a medicalized ketamine treatment beforehand. This helped me understand how my body and mind might respond to such experiences. Yet, I...

Stepping Up Means…

Stepping Up Means…

My journey into the spirituality space began at the intersection of self-help and spiritual discovery, driven by a lifelong pursuit of self-realization. It began in 4th grade when my grandmother gifted me a diary, sparking my habit of journaling that continues to this day. By 6th grade, I was recording dreams, and in 10th grade, I began exploring astrology—both practices I’ve carried forward. These pursuits, like this podcast, have followed a rhythm of activity and reflection. I liken this rhythm to breathing: periods of activity as the...

Self-Awareness requires Courage

Self-Awareness requires Courage

True emotional awareness takes courage. I mean, real courage. There is a huge movement out there aimed at becoming conscious, and I was a part of it for many years. Unfortunately, I never really got anywhere with it. I am going to go out on major limb here by confessing that I was frustrated by platitudes and positive affirmations. They just didn’t help me get to where I wanted to go. They didn’t move me forward, and they didn’t encourage me to step up. For years, I remained ineffective, unproductive, and unchallenged. The...
